Striving to provide a safe and reliable alternative to the Mexican adventure sports market, which at the time lacked an emphasis on safety standards and environmental awareness, French-Canadian entrepreneur Stephan Bernier founded Ascensacion in 2002.   Our founder then realized that he possessed a unique skill set to take zipline courses from blueprint to the final stages of installation.  Since its first zipline installation, the company has experienced a period of dramatic growth and became the number one zipline builder in Latin America; a result of its dynamic approach to extreme zipline design and its eagerness to adopt new technologies that enhance zipline safety and improve the customer experience.

For the last few years, the global economic recession has made it more challenging than ever for new investors to build the zipline of their dreams.  Ascensacion is determined to revolutionize the economics of the zip line industry by offering affordable zip line design and construction, without sacrificing the safety and well-being of our clients and their customers. Ascensacion enjoys a major strategic advantage over US and Canada-based zipline builders: as a small, efficiently-run firm located outside of the US, it enjoys dramatically reduced overhead costs including lower office rental fees and labor costs. This allows Ascensacion to provide its clients with highly competitive prices.

Security First

All our zip lines are designed to meet and exceed US safety and engineering standards to ensure that our clients receive the safest zipline instalation possible.  We are members in good standing of the trade group PRCA, the professional ropes course association, which establishes the norms and standards that govern every zip line created within the United States.

Beyond the Limits

One of our current projects is our most ambitious to date:  a corporate client in Peru has commissioned us to create what will soon be the longest zip line in the world, with a single unbroken span of over 2,180 meters.  Ascensacion will be handling the design, engineering, construction, logistics, training, and routine maintenance of this truly world-class zip line.
